I found this great piece of Carob wood tucked away in the corner of the shop. I milled it a few years ago from a downed tree in Phoenix. I used the other half of the log to make a Lazy Susan that's also in the store. They'd make a great set (just sayin').
This board is nice and thin, making it easy to store if you don't want to leave it out and stare at it all the time.

Carob is an ancient hardwood from the Mediterranean region of the world. Commonly used as a landscape tree in desert areas, it is a unique wood with deep red and pinkish tones and beautiful grain patterns that looks great with bright blue resin.
