Chinese Elm is a beautiful hardwood tree that is used as a landscape tree in both Phoenix and Houston. This wood was harvested from a damaged tree in Mesa AZ. Chinese Elm has a rich light brown heartwood combined with a pale, almost golden sapwood. It's a dense, heavy wood. This board weighs about 15 lbs. but fingertip recesses on both ends make it easy to move around.
This board combines the beautiful Chinese Elm with copper epoxy resin and finished with a crystal clear epoxy finish. It is glossy, hard and food safe. It's so pretty that you may be tempted just display it rather than use it. But please, show it off with your meats, cheeses, veggies and other goodies. Everyone will want to eat up the food to see the board underneath!
This a Serving Board and not a cutting board, the epoxy finish will be damaged if you cut on it. No stove-top or oven hot pans and no dishwasher. Just simply wipe it down with a soapy sponge after using and you're good to go.
Non-marring rubber feet can be added if desired for an additional $5.00
