This is a solid Edge-grain cutting board big enough to handle your brisket, prime rib or that big head of cabbage. Made from hard Maple and Walnut with an accent of tropical Purpleheart.
Like all my cutting boards it is finished with an oil/wax finish to resist water or contaminate penetration. A wipe-down with soapy water and a quick rinse is all you need to do after using it. Since wood will absorb water if soaked, please don't let is sit in water or wash it in the dishwasher.
When the finish begins to wear, as it will if you use it like you should, simply coat it with plain mineral oil or Howard's Butcher Block Conditioner, let it penetrate and wipe off the excess. A 2oz. bottle is included with the board.
