This board was milled from a Mesquite log 6 or 7 years ago and ended up with a bit of a branch sticking out from a bend in the trunk. Part of the long board was used for other projects, but this shorter offcut sat around the shop for quite a while until I finally realized that little branch would be a perfect handle. I like the way it came out with the light blue epoxy resin just highlighting the great Mesquite grain and color.
It would look great hanging on the wall in the kitchen, but it would look even better with a few snacks or appetizers on it. Perfect for starting a conversation about the importance of recycling urban wood and keeping it out of the landfills. 😊Or another topic of your choice!!
Finished with a durable and food safe hard/wax coating for a long lasting finish.
