A new item in the store. Lani wanted a Tortilla Press and so I made her one. And then I made a few more! These work great for corn or flour tortillas up to about 9" diameter.
Crafted from hardwood like maple, walnut, oak with purpleheart or other tropical accents, these are both beautiful and functional. Sure, you can buy a cheap metal tortilla press anywhere. But, a beautiful, hand crafted press will not only make your kitchen look good, but it's almost certain to make your tortillas taste better!
Hardwood dowels are used to prevent the force of pressing out your masa from breaking the glue joints. The handle rotates on a metal rod so it won't wear out no matter how many tacos you make.
Non-marring rubber feet keep it from moving as you work with it.
These are finished with the best hard wax/oil finish on the market - Odies Oil. Just wipe it off with damp sponge after using. No dishwasher or soaking in water.
