I love the distinctive end-grain patterns of Willow Acacia. Clearly defined growth rings show up beautifully when the board is sliced and glued up carefully. This board includes Hard Maple on the long edges that compliments the lighter sap wood of the Willow Acacia.
End grain boards don't dull knives as quickly as edge grain boards and the small cuts tend to "self heal" since the knife cuts with the grain.
